Is IHG Destined worth it?

The IHG Destined rates are generally based on the hotel's best available rate. The benefits can't be combined with member rates, packages, or pre-paid rates. It depends on your stay if this makes sense. The daily breakfast for 2 and the US$100 hotel credit can provide great value, especially for non-Diamond members.

Q: Do I get my IHG One benefits when booking the IHG Destined rate?

Yes, the rates are eligible for all IHG One benefits, points and status nights based on the member status. If the benefits are similar, the better one supersedes the other.

IHG Destined replaces the current IHG Luxury & Lifestyle Collection programs with a consolidated list of hotels and streamlined benefits.

The rates are also eligible for all IHG One benefits, points and status nights based on the member status. If the benefits are similar, the better one supersedes the other.

What is exciting is that this program now finally includes IHG ultra-luxury brand Six Senses. The hotels aren't currently available through IHG's own program, but through consortia like Virtuoso or AMEX FHR.

The program will replace their current IHG Luxury & Lifestyle programs from January 6th 2025. The change means that less hotels are now available overall, but Indigo hotels and Kimpton hotels in the US gain the daily breakfast benefit as well as the higher US$100 hotel credit (up from US$50).
